The Fire In Our Hearts

The Fire In Our Hearts

When wildfire threatens a remote region of northern British Columbia, the Cheslatta Carrier Nation and residents of the Southside are forced to confront an impossible choice: evacuate, or remain to protect the land that defines them. Cut off by distance and limited access, the community responds collectively, drawing on Indigenous leadership, cooperation, and generations of lived knowledge to face the fire in near isolation.
In the aftermath, the flames expose more than destruction—revealing the long-erased site of a Cheslatta village and resurfacing a suppressed chapter of history. The Fire In Our Hearts is a portrait of resilience and sovereignty, exploring how community-led action and responsibility shape survival in a world increasingly defined by climate change.

Digitally You

Jean dreamed of being an actress but things have not gone to plan, she is not exactly where she thought she would be by this point. When her isolation increases as her long term relationship with James stalls, she spends more and more time online. One evening when a pop-up invites her to discover ‘The Digital You’ Jean is led to a virtual social network world. When she meets Charlie, an artist, she realises she can be who she wants to be, she can be Scarlett, the talented actress she knew she always should have been.
Charles may present himself as an artist but really he has retreated into a digital fantasy long ago. In the real world he has sabotaged his relationships while his digital self can be who he wants to be and explore new relationships without commitments or consequences.
As they form a connection through their digital avatars they retreat more into these digital identities. When Jean, as her avatar Scarlett, asks to contact Charlie in the real world a chain of events is set in motion where the two of them must face the boundaries of their real and digital selves. They must find out for themselves who they really are, who they actually want to be and just exactly who and what the digital you really is…

Kaleidoscope Child

From Soap Operas to Siem Reap...

Kaleidoscope Child follows David Ault, a former actor and singer turned spiritual teacher and global humanitarian, as he cultivates schools and communities in Cambodia, India, and Guatemala. A longtime friend and collaborator of the late Louise Hay, David carries forward the essence of her teachings — demonstrating how love in action can transform lives and communities.

Directed by Michael Patrick McKinley, David's personal journey unfolds and then weaves with intimate portraits of the students, teachers, and volunteers into a tapestry of resilience and hope. As David begins the delicate process of succession, the film becomes more than a chronicle of impact — it becomes a love letter to legacy, and an invitation to all who dare to say, “I’m available” on the path of building a better world.
